Se
lection of a suitable diesel fuel
The quality of the fuel is very important for satisfactory engine performance, long engine service life and acceptable
exhaust emission levels. The engines can be operated with most diesel fuels sold worldwide. The properties and
limit values specied in Table 1 (fuels of comparable quality) ensure optimum engine performance.
In order to achieve optimum engine performance and satisfactory service life for the entire fuel and injection system,
the limit values for water and total contamination must be complied with in the engine tank for all approved fuel
qualities. Furthermore, it is advisable to integrate an additional ltering system in the fuel system.
Emission certication
The certication measurements for verifying observance of the statutory emission limits are carried
out with the respectively prescribed certication fuels.
Dispose of used uids and lubricants in accordance with local regulations.
Used oil must never be disposed of via the fuel tank!
